QFD (What works for development) is a non-profit academic organization that unites a team of experts in public policy design, implementation and evaluation in Mexico with prominent national and international researchers with the purpose of developing rigorous research that is useful and pertinent to boost innovative interventions for social and economic development.
The QFD team and its collaborators develop studies that facilitate substantiated decision making about the big social and economic challenges of the country.
We believe that the application of the scientific method to measure efficiently which programs and projects work best is our top instrument to boost social and economic development in Mexico and the world.
We know that a program´s success requires attention to detail and control and monitoring of its implementation. We recognize that the factors that enhance development are complex and most of the times we know little about WHAT WORKS FOR DEVELOPMENT.
